About EPA Deputy Assistant Administrator for Infrastructure and Extramural Resources
Dan Coogan

Dan Coogan serves as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Infrastructure and Extramural Resources in the Office of Mission Support. In this position, Coogan is responsible for the acquisitions, grants, and facility operations and management that support the agency’s mission.
Coogan has nearly two decades of strategic experience serving the federal financial management community. As Director of the Office of Resource and Business Operations, Coogan managed the Office of Mission Support’s annual budget of $900 million and 1,400 full-time equivalent, supported thousands of critical agency services and programs with a focus on delivering the best possible support to the rest of the agency.
Coogan joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Public Policy and doctorate in Public Policy from George Washington University (GWU).
