EPA Notification of Central Data Exchange (CDX) Outage
(WASHINGTON, February 15, 2022) - Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is notifying Central Data Exchange (CDX) users of upcoming outages that may impact their ability to submit information.
CDX is EPA’s electronic reporting site and a central point for electronic submission of information for the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). As part of EPA’s adherence to the 2019 Federal Cloud Computing Strategy, the Agency is migrating the CDX to a cloud hosting service. To allow for this required migration, CDX submissions for TSCA applications will be unavailable during the following dates and times:
- TSCA chemical data reporting, Title VI (Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products), and Section 8(e) reporting application will be unavailable from 8:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 15 until 8:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, February 16.
- TSCA Section 8(d) and Section 4 reporting application will be unavailable from 8:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 16 until 8:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, February 17.
- TSCA Section 5 reporting application, including submission of premanufacture notices and low volume exemptions, will be unavailable from 8:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 16 until 8:00 a.m. EST on Friday, February 18.
As a reminder, entities are expected to make every effort to comply with all applicable reporting deadlines. EPA also posted a notice in CDX last week to give advance notice of this planned outage in an effort to minimize impacts on users.
