VI. RECOMMENDED APPLICATION PROCEDURE |
---|
1. Application Method: The culture should be activated for 2 hours in water, when applicable. Conditions for use vary depending on substrate concentration and type, pH, temperature, availability of nutrients, oxygen content, and liquid medium (static or flowing). 2. Concentration/Application Rate: Inoculation concentration is 5-9 billion spores per gram. 3. Conditions for Use: Temperature requirements are between 35ºF and 100ºF. The optimum dissolved oxygen content is 2 ppm at the sludge-to-water interface. Nitrogen and phosphorous are key nutrients which promote cultural growth, and should be maintained at concentrations of 15-20 ppm and 2.5-5 ppm, respectively. The optimum pH range is between 7.0 and 8.0. |
