Participants will learn to:
- Develop a plan to update your school district’s ventilation systems and implement effective, evidence-based IAQ interventions for virus transmission risk reduction;
- Assess ventilation, IAQ, and HVAC systems to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in schools as well as provide healthy indoor air, including working with consultants and contractors to perform assessments, commissioning, and retro-commissioning;
- Use the Framework for Effective School IAQ Management to develop a systematic approach to IAQ management, preventive maintenance, ventilation, and healthy indoor environments; and
- Make the health case for creating safe breathing environments for students and staff to help bring together the health services and facility services to work toward a common goal.
