Lead NAAQS Implementation Schedules

The following tables show what designated areas have to do to comply with the Clean Air Act and when the areas have to comply.

  For areas with existing monitoring networks and sufficient data:
Final Designations November 16, 2010
(effective date December 31, 2010)
Infrastructure SIPs No later than October 15, 2011
(3 yrs max after Pb NAAQS rulemaking)
Attainment Demonstration SIPs
(including part D)
June 30, 2012
(18 month max after designations effective date)
Attainment Date December 31, 2015
(5 year max after designations effective date)
