Update on Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee
Released October 7, 2025
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is providing an update on the status of the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC).
While undergoing its biennial review required by law, the charter for PPDC has temporarily expired as the agency makes some minor adjustments to the charter. While EPA is planning to expeditiously recharter PPDC, consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) (5 U.S.C. § 1008(c)), the activities of PPDC and its workgroups will temporarily cease until rechartering is complete. As a result, EPA has cancelled the November 2025 full committee public PPDC meeting.
PPDC is a valued workgroup that provides policy advice, information and recommendations to EPA. The scope of its activities includes a wide variety of pesticide regulatory development and reform initiatives, evolving public policy and program implementation issues and policy issues associated with evaluating and reducing risks from pesticide use.
EPA is actively working to make these changes and reestablish the charter. Once that occurs, the agency will work towards scheduling a meeting for a later date. The agency will seek to maintain a broad representation of stakeholders on PPDC during this reestablishment process, which has always been a vital feature for PPDC’s success.
Stakeholder input is an essential component of our work to protect human health and the environment, and EPA looks forward to continuing to engage with this group in the future.
