Summary

EPA is conducting a five-year review of the Pristine, Inc site at 410 Cavett Ave. in Reading, Ohio. The Superfund law requires regular checkups of sites that have been cleaned up or where cleanup has been ongoing for at least five years – with waste managed on-site – to make sure the cleanup continues to protect people and the environment. This is the seventh five-year review of this site.

EPA’s cleanup at the site consisted of placing a cover over the site, conducting thermal soil treatment, installing a groundwater pumping and treating system, long-term monitoring, and limiting the use of and access to the site.

More information is available at the Pristine Inc. site webpage. The review is expected to be completed in July of 2026. If you would like to share comments, please contact EPA’s Remedial Project Manager.
