Summary

EPA is beginning a 30-Day Public Comment Period for a Leaking Underground Storage Tank Site Corrective Action Plan (pdf) for Speedway/7-Eleven, located within Navajo Nation in Tuba City, Arizona.

EPA Region 9 works with the Navajo Nation EPA (NNEPA), Hopi Water Resources, and other Tribal Environmental Program Offices to clean up leaking underground storage tank (UST) sites within Indian Country.

A corrective action plan has been submitted to address contamination that originated from USTs at the Speedway/7-Eleven gas station located within Navajo Nation in Tuba City, Arizona. The plan includes remedial actions designed to clean up contaminants in soil and groundwater to NNEPA Cleanup Standards.

EPA will accept comments on the plan for 30 days and will consider comments in its decision to accept or reject the plan.
