Eligible areas are rural areas and towns with a population of 10,000 or less, with special consideration given to areas with fewer than 5,500 people or fewer than 2,500 people, regional, multi-state or national areas, and lower-income populations. Funding can support activities to:

Excluded Activities/Other Restrictions | Grant funds may not be used to recruit applications for any loan and/or grant program, duplicate current services or assistance provided by the U.S. Forest Service, replace or substitute support previously provided, fund political activities, pay for capital assets, real estate or vehicles, improve and renovate office space, or pay for construction or operation and maintenance costs for water and waste facilities. |
