Class VI Permit Application Completeness Checklist
EPA developed a completeness checklist for Class VI permit applications. The document includes a list of information that must be submitted with a Class VI permit application in order for that application to be deemed administratively complete by the permitting authority. A link to the completeness checklist is provided below.

Rules and Tools Crosswalk: A Compendium of Computational Tools to Support Geologic Carbon Storage Environmentally Protective UIC Class VI Permitting
The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) in coordination with EPA have released the "Rules and Tools Crosswalk: A Compendium of Computational Tools to Support Geologic Carbon Storage Environmentally Projective UIC Class VI Permitting" report. This report, published by DOE's National Energy Technology Lab (NETL), summarizes computational tools and methods that may be used to address specific requirements of the Class VI (Geologic Sequestration) permit application process. The computation tools, listed and described in a comprehensive appendix, relate to the technical aspects of permitting geologic sequestration wells, including induced seismicity, geo-mechanical and geophysical modeling, reservoir modeling, injection modeling, and area of review determination. A link to the report is provided below.

Class VI Permit Application Outline
EPA developed a permit application outline for UIC Class VI wells. The document provides an overview of the items and the associated activities an applicant may complete during the development of an application to inject CO2 for GS under the UIC Class VI program. The outline also functions as a detailed index to multiple EPA Class VI guidance documents, which contain information relevant to the completion of a Class VI application. Prospective permit applicants are encouraged to consult with their UIC permitting authority about specific needs for their project early in the application process. Applicants are also encouraged to review the Class VI Rule and EPA guidance documents, which are available on EPA’s website in order to gain a greater understanding of the Class VI permit application process. A link to the permit application outline is provided below.
