Hybrid Texas Power Resilience Workshop

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will host a free hybrid workshop in the Houston area addressing the impact of power outages on water systems. The workshop is aimed at professionals from drinking water and wastewater utilities as well as their response partners (e.g., electric utilities, emergency management agencies). It will feature presentations from regulatory agencies and utility representatives to share strategies for improving preparedness, response, and recovery from power outages. Key topics will include generator requirements, emergency backup power regulations, additional options for backup power, and tools and resources for power resilience.
