Platform for Coordinating Supply Chain Efforts
U.S. EPA has created a Microsoft Teams page that is being used to facilitate sharing of information related to supply chain issues that impact the water and wastewater systems sector and to coordinate response actions to mitigate consequences for the sector. This page can be accessed by water and chemical/critical manufacturing sector stakeholders (e.g., AWWA, WARNs, ASDWA, state primacy agencies, NRWA, AMWA, WaterISAC, WSCC, NACWA), DHS-CISA, the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council, and relevant trade organizations (e.g., The Chlorine Institute, Compressed Gas Association). These organizations can post updates on the status (e.g., availability, price) of treatment chemicals and other critical products, as well as relevant communications with manufacturers and suppliers.
This platform is regularly monitored by U.S. EPA; issues that could have a significant impact on the water and wastewater systems sector are investigated, and systemic issues are elevated to the attention of the Chemical and Critical Manufacturing Sectors. Water and wastewater systems sector partners can monitor the platform and provide updates to their members, as needed.
