2016v3 Platform

The 2016v3 emissions modeling platform was developed by EPA as an update to the 2016v2 platform.  It incorporates updates made in response to comments by stakeholders, improved methods, some corrections, and refinements to projection factors due to data that has become available following the release of 2016v2.  The 2016v3 platform incorporates emissions based on: MOVES3, the 2017 NEI nonpoint inventory, the 2019 NEI point source inventory, the Western Regional Air Partnership oil and gas inventory, and inventories for Canada and Mexico. The 2016v3 platform supports interstate transport analyses related to the 2015 Ozone NAAQS. 

The 2016v3 platform includes emissions for the years 2016, 2023, and 2026.  Future year EGU emissions include impacts from the Revised Cross-state Air Pollution Rule Update along with other updated data. The platform technical support document is linked below.
