Identifying Existing Chemicals for Prioritization under TSCA

The document below lays out EPA's near-term approach for identifying potential chemicals for prioritization and includes a longer-term risk-based approach for managing the larger TSCA chemical landscape.  After the Federal Register notice published, EPA accepted comments on the longer-term strategy in docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2018-0659 on www.regulations.gov until November 15, 2018.

The approach presented in this document reflects public input received at the December 2017 meeting and through the public docket for that meeting (EPA-HQ-OPPT-2017-0587). The Agency's response to public comments can be found below.

Read the Federal Register notice announcing the availability of this document and the opening of several public dockets where the public can submit information on chemicals to be considered for prioritization.
