Lessons From the Field with Ohio EPA’s Compliance Assistance Unit
Ohio EPA’s Wastewater Compliance Assistance Unit (CAU) works with operators and wastewater treatment staff to identify performance-limiting factors and implement cost-effective solutions that help facilities achieve compliance. This webinar provides attendees with an understanding of the CAU’s process, as well as examples of issues identified and corrective actions taken to return facilities back into compliance.

Andrew Gall, PE
Andrew Gall, PE is an Environmental Specialist with the Ohio EPA’s Division of Surface Water’s Wastewater Compliance Assistance Unit. During his 20 plus years with the Ohio EPA Andrew has been a compliance assistance provider, compliance inspector, Biosolids coordinator, NPDES permit writer, and holds an Ohio Class III Water Reclamation Operator Certificate.
Nicholas Hammer
Nicholas Hammer is an Environmental Specialist with the Ohio EPA’s Division of Surface Water’s Wastewater Compliance Assistance Unit. Prior to joining the CAU in 2019, Nick worked in both the drinking water and wastewater programs. Before joining the Ohio EPA, Nick worked on the
county level to design and inspect household sewage treatment systems and also became a registered Environmental Health Specialist for the state.
