EPA Cleanups: GE-Pittsfield/Housatonic River Site

  • The Challenge

    The Reducing Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Concentrations and/or Toxicity in Soil and Sediment at the GE-Pittsfield/Housatonic River Site Challenge (the "Challenge") has been completed. One notable solution was identified which includes the use of biofilms and activated carbon. The Challenge is being managed by Wazoku, a national contractor that assists with administering Challenges for a variety of entities, including the Federal Government.
