Hurricane Milton

On October 9, 2024 Hurricane Milton made landfall near Florida's Siesta Key as a Category 3 storm before weakening as it crossed the state of Florida.

EPA continues to work with federal, state, local and Tribal partners to prepare for Hurricane Milton. Subject matter experts are deployed to Florida, both in the Florida Emergency Operations Center and other areas, and EPA is prepared to quickly assist in recovery efforts as soon as the storm passes.
