Oklahoma | Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma | Office of Environmental Protection Issue Area:Through the tribal Brownfields Response and Job Training Programs, the AST has been able to obtain training accreditations for Asbestos worker, contractor/supervisor, Inspector and Manager/Planner credentials which are licensable through the State of Oklahoma. We also provide training on mold abatement and sampling using the model training program developed by EPA. This allows us to train our own people to address two of the most widespread issues in our area with indoor air quality. Through our job training program we are able to share this training with other member of our community and through ASTI, we will soon be able to share it with our fellow tribes facing similar concerns across the country. |
