Region 7 - Contact Us About Lead Tips and Complaints

To Report a Tip or Complaint About Suspected Violations of the Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule

In 2010, EPA implemented the Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule to ensure that contractors working in housing and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 take the following actions to protect owners and tenants from exposure to lead-based paint:

  • Be certified by EPA to conduct RRP work
  • Provide the Renovate Right brochure to owners and tenants before beginning work
  • Minimize exposure to dust and paint chips created during work

If you suspect the RRP Rule has been violated, EPA encourages you to submit a tip or complaint on the form below. Please provide as much information as possible. When completed, click on the "Submit Tip or Complaint" button and the form will be sent directly to the EPA Region 7 Lead Team.

NOTE: EPA Region 7 includes Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
This form is for tips or complaints about work being done in Missouri and Nebraska ONLY.

To provide a tip or complaint for work being done in Kansas, please contact the Kansas Department of Health and Environment .

For work being done in Iowa, please contact the Iowa Department of Public Health at 800-972-2026.

For further assistance or additional information about the EPA’s lead-based paint requirements, visit EPA's Lead website or call the National Lead Information Center Hotline at 1-800-424-5323.

NOTE: The information submitted through the form is not confidential.
