The Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule ensures that contractors working in housing and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 protect owners and tenants from exposure to lead-based paint by:
- Minimizing exposure to dust and paint chips created during work;
- Providing the Renovate Right brochure to owners and tenants before beginning work;
- Having work done by a certified renovator.

If you suspect the RRP Rule has been violated, EPA encourages you to submit a tip or complaint.

- For work being done in Kansas, please contact the Kansas Department of Health and Environment .
- For work being done in Missouri or Nebraska, use the form below.
- For all other states, or for reporting environmental concerns not related to RRP, please submit information using EPA's Report a Violation website.
