Executive Order (E.O.) 13859 - Maintaining American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence - was issued in 2019. The Office of Management and Budget issued guidance to agencies in November 2020 to provide guidance on the development of regulatory and non-regulatory approaches to technologies and industrial sectors that may use or be improved by use of AI.
