Authorization Status for EPA's Construction and Industrial Stormwater Programs

EPA has authorized many states to administer the NPDES stormwater permitting program, including for regulated construction- and industrial-stormwater discharges.

EPA’s 2022 Construction General Permit (CGP) and 2021 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) apply only in the jurisdictions where EPA remains the permitting authority.
