Notification: Independent Audits of the EPA's Fiscal Year 2025 Pesticide Reregistration and Expedited Processing Fund and Pesticide Registration Fund Financial Statements

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General plans to begin our required audit of the EPA’s fiscal year 2025 financial statements for the Pesticide Reregistration and Expedited Processing Fund pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, or FIFRA, and for the Pesticide Registration Fund pursuant to the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act, or PRIA, known respectively as the FIFRA and PRIA Funds. These audits are statutorily required by these Acts.

The EPA's Office of Inspector General is a part of the EPA, although Congress provides our funding separate from the agency, to ensure our independence. We were created pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended.
