Summary Report: Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Clean Water State Revolving Fund Capacity Reviews

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General plans to begin a self-initiated evaluation. Our objective is to summarize the EPA OIG’s prior Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Clean Water State Revolving Fund capacity reviews to help inform the EPA’s efforts to build the capacity of recipients to manage and use funds. We will conduct this evaluation using Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation, issued by the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency.
OIG Independence of EPA
The EPA's Office of Inspector General is a part of the EPA, although Congress provides our funding separate from the agency, to ensure our independence. We were created pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended.
