REGION 6, DALLAS, TEXAS

POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYL (PCB) TRIAL BURN FOR THE TRAIN I INCINERATOR

AT CLEAN HARBORS DEER PARK, LA PORTE, TEXAS

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 office in Dallas, Texas, is hereby notifying of the plan to conduct a PCB Trial Burn for the Train 1 Incinerator at Clean Harbors Deer Park, located at 2027 Independence Parkway South, La Porte, Texas. The facility is authorized to dispose of solid and liquid PCBs by high temperature incineration in its Train I Incinerator and to store PCB wastes for commercial purposes. The EPA has the authority to issue approvals for disposal of PCBs by incineration under Section 6(e) of the Toxic Substances Control Act and in accordance with regulations at 40 CFR 761.70. The PCB Trial Burn is scheduled during the week of April 13, 2026.
