EPA Extends Comment Period for Meeting Materials and Opens Comment Period for Candidates being Considered to Serve as Ad Hoc Members for the May 8-10, 2018, FIFRA SAP Meeting

For Release: April 18, 2018

The Agency is extending the written public comment period for all docketed peer review materials, including the charge questions, for the May 8-10 Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP), to April 25, 2018. See docket # EPA-HQ-OPP-2017-0693.

In addition, EPA is seeking comments on the experts who are candidates to serve as ad hoc panelists for this meeting. Comments are due April 25, 2018.  The candidate list, including brief biographies, can be found on the SAP website (www.epa.gov/sap).

All comments on meeting materials and candidates should be provided to the Designated Federal Official (DFO) below.

The FIFRA SAP serves as a primary scientific peer review mechanism of EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP) and is structured to provide scientific advice, information, and recommendations to the EPA Administrator on pesticides and pesticide-related issues as to the impact of regulatory actions on health and the environment.

Additional information may be found in the docket, on the FIFRA SAP website, or by contacting the DFO, Dr. Marquea D. King (king.marquea@epa.gov or 202-564-3626).
