FIFRA SAP Meeting on “Evaluation of a Proposed Approach to Refine the Inhalation Risk Assessment for Point of Contact Toxicity: A Case Study Using a New Approach Methodology (NAM).” Request for Nominations and Notice of Public Meeting
For Release: August 8, 2018
EPA is seeking nominations for expert ad hoc members of the FIFRA Scientific Advisory Panel to evaluate a proposed approach to refine an inhalation risk assessment for point of contact toxicity. Panel members will review a case study using the pesticide chlorothalonil to evaluate a new approach methodology (NAM).

- to provide nominations of experts to serve as ad hoc members of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act Scientific Advisory Panel (FIFRA SAP) meeting, and
- to review and comment on the derivation of a point of departure from an in vitro assay and the integration of the in vitro point of departure for calculation of human equivalent concentrations for inhalation risk assessment. EPA’s background paper, charge/questions to FIFRA SAP, and related supporting materials will be available by early September 2018 in docket ID number EPA-HQ-OPP-2018-0517 at https://www.regulations.gov and on the FIFRA SAP website.
