Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) is accepting comments from the public on its intent to issue a permit for Vault Alliance CCS (“Vault”) to inject carbon dioxide (CO2) underground at its proposed injection well in Montgomery County, Indiana. This injection would be part of a process that is often called “geologic sequestration” or “carbon sequestration.” Carbon sequestration is a means of reducing emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere.
