EPA proposes to remove and replace contaminated soil at Benedict Park
At the Colorado Smelter site, EPA previously cleaned the playground area in the park to a protective level. EPA returned to evaluate the park more broadly. Sampling found high levels of lead in parts of the park outside the playground.
