Chemical Sector Clean Air Act Section 114 Information Collection Request

Overview

On January 19, 2022, the EPA issued a Clean Air Act section 114 information collection request to eight entities subject to the HON and certain other National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) and New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) that apply to the chemical manufacturing industry. The request seeks specific information about various emission sources, emission inventories, and chemical manufacturing production processes via a questionnaire (Component 1) as well as contains requests for source sampling, stack testing, and fugitive emissions testing with fenceline monitoring (Component 2). A copy of the request can be found below. In addition, on June 15, 2021, the EPA also issued a Clean Air Act section 114 information collection request to Denka Performance Elastomers to gather information about emissions from their chemical plant and the various NESHAP they are subject to, including the HON (and others such as the Miscellaneous Organic Chemical NESHAP or MON and the Group I Polymers NESHAP). A copy of this request can also be found below.
