This rule applies to commercial and captive lime manufacturing plants that are located at a major stationary source of hazardous air pollutants (HAP).  The final amended rule sets maximum achievable control technology (MACT) standards for four HAP:

  • Hydrogen chloride (HCl)
  • Mercury
  • Organic HAP
  • Dioxin/furans (D/F)
