Rule Summary

This rule regulates air toxics emitted from wool fiberglass manufacturing at major sources. The rule requires gas-fired furnaces to meet particulate matter (PM) and chromium emissions limits, and electric furnaces to meet PM limits. Bonded lines are required to meet air toxic emission limits.

The rule is currently being amended to add methanol and phenol emission limits to the formaldehyde emission limits on Rotary Spin (RS) lines. This is under consent agreement to be finalized by December 2017.
