To report an environmental emergency, call the National Response Center at 1-800-424-8802. Examples of environmental emergencies include:
- Oil and chemical spills
- Radiological and biological discharges
- Accidents causing releases of pollutants

If you believe you may have encountered a radioactive source or feel that you are in immediate danger, call local emergency responders or contact your state radiation control office.

If you think you’ve witnessed an environmental crime in Region 3, contact EPA Criminal Investigation Division Mid-Central Branch. Do not contact the regional help desk with enforcement or violation tips. Please submit tips using the web form at: www.epa.gov/tips.

EPA does not inspect homes for mold or other general indoor air issues and cannot intervene in landlord/tenant issues.
