Biosolids Research at the EPA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Biosolids Program works to ensure the latest science is being used to protect public health and the environment. The agency's research covers a wide range of areas related to biosolids. The EPA also provides competitive, peer-reviewed, extramural research grants to the nation’s best scientists and engineers in public and private colleges, universities, and institutions. A list of current research efforts can be found using the links provided.

Biosolids research products primarily from the EPA’s Office of Research and Development can be found in the EPA Science Inventory.
