Compliance Assistance

EPA provides compliance assistance to the regulated community to help facilities, private and federal, comply with federal environmental requirements. Compliance assistance is provided in a variety of ways, including compliance assistance centers, workshops, conferences, round tables, training courses, webinars, and publications.

FedCenter.gov provides information on environmental statutes, executive order requirements, pollution prevention and sustainability, environmental management systems, new legislation, and energy. FedCenter also maintains a calendar of events, provides web-based training and makes available other user tools for agency forums and workgroup collaboration.

Compliance Assistance Centers provide more targeted information for certain regulatory sectors, like construction, automobile repair and agriculture.

Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) provides information to facilitate the federal government's implementation of sound, cost-effective energy management and investment practices to enhance the nation's energy security and environmental stewardship.

LEED Program, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Green Building Rating System™ accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
