EPA libraries provide public access to EPA publications, environmental information, research assistance, and access to their material collections. Whether you’re looking for a specific publication, need help with your search, or want to borrow an item in the library collections, librarians are available to assist.

Finding Publications

EPA National Library Catalog

The EPA National Library Catalog is publicly available online. Users can search the catalog for materials held by EPA libraries across the country. 

National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP)

The National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP) provides access to more than 100,000 EPA documents in digital format. EPA documents are continually being digitized and added to the NSCEP digital repository. Users can search NSCEP for a specific document or find multiple documents on a topic of interest.

Requesting Materials and Assistance

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

The public can borrow many EPA library materials found in the catalog, such as books and EPA documents. Materials can be borrowed by requesting interlibrary loan services through a local, academic, or organizational library.

Research and Reference Assistance
