The Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) co-chair the Alabama Emergency Response Commission (AERC). ADEM serves as the EPCRA data repository and the ADEM ER program assists with Emergency Response. AEMA supervises the LEPCs, established emergency planning districts, and oversees the emergency plan preparation and implementation.
