HAB Data
HAB data from the EPA and other agencies are provided through a number of venues. The HABs Monitoring and Trends page provides links to a variety of data sources providing current and historic trends in near real-time satellite HAB monitoring data from across the United States.
Water Quality Exchange (WQX)
Historic state and federal agency (EPA and USGS) HAB data are provided and stored on the WQX, and can be accessed through the Water Quality Portal. This includes algal composition and toxin data, along with supporting data including nutrient data. The EPA is developing a range of tools to help automate data retrieval and analysis.

National Aquatic Resource Surveys (NARS)
The NARS collect algal composition and toxin data, along with supporting nutrient and other water quality data, in lakes, streams and coastal ecosystems across the United States.
bloomWatch
bloomWatch is a participatory science app that allows users to find and report potential cyanobacteria blooms in water bodies. The data users provide help government scientists to track and manage water quality and help officials protect public health and the environment from harmful blooms. Download the bloomWatch app today to report suspected harmful algal blooms in your community’s water bodies.
National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS)
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) serves near real-time coastal monitoring and forecast data for a number of coastal waterbodies and most of these provide links to historic data
