Approved or Established TMDLs
A Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) is a calculation of the maximum amount of a pollutant that a waterbody can receive and still meet water quality standards.
This page provides links to sources and program contacts related to approved or established TMDLs for waterbodies located in jurisdictions covered under the EPA Construction General Permit (CGP) and Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP).
Depending upon the TMDL for your receiving waterbody, you might be required to install additional stormwater controls specifically designed to achieve reductions in the pollutant(s) causing the impairment of your receiving water. Consult the requirements pertaining to discharges to impaired waters with TMDLs in the permit that applies to your facility or site:
Additional information about TMDLs and stormwater is available on EPA’s Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) and Stormwater webpage.
