Are those residing on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) and Aliamanu Military Reservation (AMR) currently being exposed to jet fuel in the drinking water?
No. Since March 2022, the drinking water has met all standards under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and Hawaiʻi Department of Health (DOH) incident specific parameters. EPA conducted a thorough assessment of evidence in close coordination with the DOH, the primacy agency for drinking water in Hawaiʻi. The assessment revealed that no fuel contamination remains in the JBPHH & AMR public water systems stemming from the November 2021 release.
