System of Records Notice
EPA proposes to create a new system of records pursuant to the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 USC 552a). This system of records contains records collected from approved Clean Air Act section 608 technician certification programs that are withdrawing from the program or having their approval revoked. These records allow EPA to assist certified technicians in obtaining replacement certification cards when the program that certified them has withdrawn or had its approval to issue certifications revoked.
This system of records notice does not alter the reporting or recordkeeping requirements for Clean Air Act Section 608 technician certification programs or technicians and is unrelated to proposed changes to the Section 608 refrigerant management regulations.
