Overview: TX-COAH-NL-TAUM Region
The Texas-Coahuila-Nuevo León-Tamaulipas (Four-State) Regional Coordinators is one of four regional coordinating bodies in the U.S.-Mexico Border 2025 Environmental Program. This region is one of the most complex because of its geographical expanse and the number of municipalities. The region includes parts of four states and a total of at least 29 municipalities on the Mexican side, and 168 cities and towns on the U.S. side. Recognizing this, the workgroup divided itself into three geographically based Task Forces—Amistad, Falcon, and Gulf, each of which has established subject-specific committees related to its priorities.
The Four-State region extends from the Coahuila-Chihuahua border in Mexico (when that border reaches the Rio Grande, it is in the Big Bend area) eastward to the Gulf of America. This Regional Coordinator's area includes the border regions of three Mexican states (Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas) and the adjoining border region of Texas.
The Four-State Regional Coordinators has five co-chairs: one from each of the two federal environmental agencies, and one from a state environmental agency on each side of the border as well as a U.S. federally recognized tribe.
This region is comprised of three Task Forces:

- Falcon Task Force
- Gulf Task Force
