New Grants to Advance Innovative, Farmer-Led Conservation on Working Lands

EPA's Gulf of America Division announced up to $50 million in new grant funding to improve water quality, habitat, resilience, and environmental education by demonstrating innovative practices on America’s working lands. The Farmer-to-Farmer grant program provides targeted support to farmer-led and farm-focused organizations operating within the Gulf of America watershed, encompassing EPA Regions 3 through 8.

EPA Seeks Public Comment on Draft Strategy to Better Protect Endangered Species

EPA released its draft Fungicide Strategy which identifies protections that fungicide users can adopt to safeguard endangered and threatened species, while keeping American agriculture strong. EPA will host a public webinar on May 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET to provide an overview of the draft Strategy, discuss how it will be implemented through registration and registration review, and answer questions. The draft Fungicide Strategy and supporting documents are available in docket EPA-HQ-OPP-2026-2973 for a 60-day comment period closing on June 29, 2026.

Request for Public Comment on CWA FCA Guidance

EPA is seeking public input on its Clean Water Act Financial Capability Assessment (FCA) guidance. Using public feedback, EPA will consider updating the agency’s guidance to better reflect ratepayers’ ability to support infrastructure upgrades, potential impacts on rural and small communities, and other related topics.
