State, Territorial, Tribal and EPA Beach Program Contacts

To find information on the current water quality or open status for a certain beach, contact the relevant state, Tribal, or territorial beach program person listed or select the jurisdiction name to connect to their beach monitoring website.

When a state, Tribe, or territory decides to open or close a beach, they report that information with relevant water quality data to the EPA over varying timeframes. This can range from days to months after the information is collected by the state, tribe, or territory. You can find the latest information that states, Tribes and territories have sent to the EPA's Beach Advisory and Closing On-line Notification (BEACON) system.
