California Clean Air Technology Initiative (CATI)
A partnership to develop clean air technologies for the San Joaquin Valley and South Coast Air Basins through collaborative projects in technology research, development, demonstration, and deployment.
California’s San Joaquin Valley and South Coast air basins experience some of the highest air pollution levels in the United States. Accelerating progress on this public health challenge requires an all-out team effort – while also maintaining sensitivity to each region's distinct demographic and air quality profiles. These issues present unique challenges to federal, state, and local agencies working on air quality, energy, and transportation improvements.
The CATI is a partnership consisting of EPA and the following California agencies:
