UCMR 5 accessing data and communicating results webinars – February 2023

The EPA hosted two identical webinars on February 22 and 23, 2023 to provide public water systems (PWSs), states, and other interested stakeholders with information on how to access UCMR 5 data and resources to assist with understanding and communicating monitoring results. The presentation reviewed the reporting requirements for PWSs and data review functionality in the EPA’s web-based Safe Drinking Water Accession and Review System (SDWARS) for large PWS (i.e., those serving more than 10,000 people), small PWS (i.e., those serving 10,000 or fewer people), and state users. The presentation also discussed the plan for sharing specific preliminary PFAS results from small PWSs with states, reviewed how the public can access UCMR 5 data, and highlighted communication resources for the UCMR 5 contaminants from the EPA and other stakeholders.

UCMR 5 implementation webinars – October 2022

The EPA hosted two virtual meetings (via webinar) on October 26, 2022, and repeated the meetings on October 27, to provide public water systems (PWSs) with a comprehensive overview of the UCMR 5 program and the actions they must take to prepare for monitoring. The meetings addressed monitoring schedules and locations, the Safe Drinking Water Accession and Review System (SDWARS), sampling information, and reporting requirements.
