1-40 West Toward Chapel Hill

  • Take Exit 273 A, Hwy 54 toward Chapel Hill.
  • Continue on Hwy 54, in the right lane to the second exit for 15-501.
  • The exit will take you under the overpass and up onto 15-501.
  • Proceed on 15-501 past Manning Drive to the next exit for 15-501 South Pittsboro/86 North Chapel Hill.
  • Take this exit and bear right up a large hill.
  • At the top of the hill, turn right at the traffic light onto Mason Farm Road.
  • The six story tall building on the right is the EPA Building.
  • You will see a small parking area toward the front of the building and a small sign for Mason Farm Employee S6 Parking. Park in a visitor parking spot.
  • Go in the main entrance, stop at the guard desk and request a visitor parking pass. You will be asked for a picture ID.

1-40 East Toward Chapel Hill

  • Take Exit 273 A, Hwy 54 toward Chapel Hill.

From Durham via 15-501

  • Take 15-501 toward Chapel Hill.
  • Stay in the left lane.
  • At the 501(Franklin St.)/15-501 Bypass (Fordham Blvd.) fork, take the 15-501 Bypass from the left lane all the way to the15-501 South Pittsboro/86 North Chapel Hill exit.
  • Take this exit and bear right up a large hill.
  • At the top of the hill, turn right at the traffic light onto Mason Farm Road.
  • The six story tall building on the right is the EPA Building.
  • You will see a small parking area toward the front of the building and a small sign for Mason Farm Employee S6 Parking. Park in a visitor parking spot.

From Chapel Hill via MLK Blvd. (Airport Road)

  • Take MLK Blvd. (Airport Road) to the intersection with Cameron Ave. (Carolina Inn).
  • Bear right around The Carolina Inn onto Pittsboro St.
  • Stay on Pittsboro St. in the right lane, which becomes South Columbia Ave.
  • Pass Manning Drive.
  • At the next stop light, turn left onto Mason Farm Road.
  • The six story tall building on the right is the EPA Building.
  • You will see a small parking area toward the front of the building and a small sign for Mason Farm Employee S6 Parking. Park in a visitor parking spot.
  • Go in the main entrance, stop at the guard desk and request a visitor parking pass. You will be asked for a picture ID.

From Carrboro

  • Take 15-501 toward Chapel Hill to the 15-501 South Pittsboro/86 North Chapel Hill exit, which is South Columbia St.
  • Take this exit and turn left up a large hill.
  • At the top of the hill, turn right at the traffic light onto Mason Farm Road.
  • The six story tall building on the right is the EPA Building.
  • You will see a small parking area toward the front of the building and a small sign for Mason Farm Employee S6 Parking. Park in a visitor parking spot.
  • Go in the main entrance, stop at the guard desk and request a visitor parking pass. You will be asked for a picture ID.

From Pittsboro

  • Take 15-501 toward Chapel Hill.
  • Go across the James Taylor bridge.
  • 15-501 becomes South Columbia St.
  • Go up a large hill.
  • At the top of the hill, turn right at the traffic light onto Mason Farm Road.
  • The six story tall building on the right is the EPA Building.
  • You will see a small parking area toward the front of the building and a small sign for Mason Farm Employee S6 Parking. Park in a visitor parking spot.
  • Go in the main entrance, stop at the guard desk and request a visitor parking pass. You will be asked for a picture ID.
