FRS on the Exchange Network

State of current facility information in the Exchange Network

The Exchange Network (EN) is a partnership among states, tribes, territories, and EPA for the exchange of environmental information efficiently and securely over the internet.

FRS was the first project to exchange data with states through the Central Data Exchange (CDX) - EPA’s node on the Network, with FacID v2.3 and v3.0. A new FRS API is available at Facility Registry Service (FRS) API through the Exchange Network.  Although EPA will continue to support versions 2.3 and 3.0 in the near term, network partners are encouraged to migrate to the new FRS API.
