Intergovernmental FRS API

The FRS API exposes several RESTful web services for querying and submitting data with FRS for federal, state, local, and tribal government organizations.

Business Users - it is recommended to use the Swagger pages for an explanation of the data elements in FRS and inform how to use the open FRS API hosted in Envirofacts.

How to Connect

For federal, state, local and tribal government teams, please Contact the FRS team to request access to the FRS API. The FRS team will guide you through the process of getting a NAAS account, configuring FRS for your account, and determining the level of effort for you data goals with FRS.

The required FRS API account creation (NAAS account) is integrated into the Environmental Information Exchange Network (EN). See the FRS API Account (NAAS) Setup Information or ask for guidance from the FRS team.

After creating an account the FRS team will help in validating your developer's approach in the pre-production API and then give access to the production API.
