Overview
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act provides $75 million total for Fiscal Year 2022 to Fiscal Year 2026 for grants to fund a new Recycling Education and Outreach Grant Program.
Applications for Round One of this opportunity opened in 2022, with selectees announced in 2023. Applications for Round Two of this opportunity were due on December 20, 2024. On August 25, 2025, EPA awarded a cooperative agreement to the Consumer Recycling Education and Outreach Coalition (the World Wildlife Fund, ReFED, the Waste and Resources Action Programme, The Ad Council, the US Composting Council, and the Institute for Local Self-Reliance).
