Nonpoint Source Pollution: National Management Measures
National Management Measures
National Management Measures
Management measures can be used to guide the development of a Nonpoint Source Management program. They establish performance expectations and, in many cases, specify actions that can be taken to prevent or minimize nonpoint source pollution or other negative impacts associated with uncontrolled and untreated runoff. Measures have been developed for the following types of pollution:
- From Agriculture, July 2003
- From Urban Areas, November 2005
- From Forestry, May 2005
- From Marinas and Recreational Boating, Nov. 2001
- From Hydromodification, July 2007
- To Protect and Restore Wetlands and Riparian Areas for the Abatement of Nonpoint Source Pollution, July 2005
